I just discovered the work of Helsinki born photographer Osma Harvilahti by stumbling upon a couple of photographs that involve one of my favourite colour combos ever – light blue and orangey red, with a cherry lemon on top! There is a special quality to his images; that find a beauty in the mundane. Be it a windscreen, lighter or bathroom sink scene, the objects in the picture all look so delicate and soft despite their man-made harshness…these are things I see in real life, but can never quite capture in the same way. I love the creamy, dreamy look to his work. Do you?
He also makes a great case for the prettiness of a plastic bag…though we know they are no good!
